Instructional Design Internship

Instructional Design Interns at OmniByte will participate in the creation and delivery of e-learning course material, training aids and self-led material in addition to assisting with the administration aspects of remotely delivered “in-person” training. Interns are mentored, learning the industry best practices, proven processes, and tools that will give you an edge in the job market. You will work on exciting projects alongside our experts. You’ll gain valuable experience managing your own set of deliverables as well as assisting in the execution of our customer and partner learning strategies. You’ll have the opportunity to ask lots of questions, make valuable career contacts, be challenged while having fun, and get paid doing it.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design engaging OmniByte product training curriculum, content, and experience for end-users that meet the learning objectives and training strategies.
  • Assist with training sessions to partners and customers via online meetings.
  • Assist in the management of evaluation, assessment, and certification strategies.
  • Assist with coordination, planning, scheduling, and delivery of training sessions, rollout of online courses, certifications, as well as assisting with events and conferences.
  • Recommend new developments in training and instructional design and help implement approaches based on new/emerging best practices in the industry.
  • Assist with marketing design and distribution of learning opportunities, increase awareness, adoption, and demand for product training inside and outside of the organization.

Qualifications

Education

Instructional Design Interns must be actively enrolled in a university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Business, Management Information Systems or similar fields.

Experience

OmniByte Technology is looking for candidates with strong communication, technical and business skills. Candidates must be able to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions and effectively communicate concepts to both technical and non-technical learners alike. Candidates must have demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies, methods, and tools.

  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills are required
  • Experience in video editing, and visual design, and graphic design a plus.
  • Experience teaching in any capacity is a plus. (Think about things like swimming lessons, Sunday school, or volunteer activities)
  • Ability to think unconventionally to derive creative and innovative solutions; ability to break down complex information into digestible, smaller pieces.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and collaborative environment
  • Dependable and self-motivated
  • Ability to work through problems independently when possible, and seek assistance from mentors or other team members when necessary.
