Senior Product Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

OmniByte is a growing software company in Fargo, ND and looking to building the Product Team by adding a Senior Product Manager. We are seeking someone who excels at driving product delivery, contributes to roadmap planning while mentoring team members. This role manages the full product lifecycle—from requirements gathering to launch—while ensuring projects are executed on time and deliver measurable business impact. You will collaborate across departments to enhance operational excellence and create frameworks that enable sustainable growth.

Key Responsabilities

Product Planning & Roadmap Contribution

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine product vision and roadmap based on customer insights and market trends.
  • Provide input on prioritization decisions to maximize business impact.
  • Understand various options to solving problems and strategize appropriately to prioritize based on complexity and business benefit.

Requirements & Delivery

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, workflows, and challenges to develop intuitive and elegant features and solutions.
  • Translate business and customer requirements into clear user stories, UI mockups, and specifications.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Project Management

  • Oversee project timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution.
  • Drive alignment across product and engineering teams; proactively manage risks and blockers.

Mentorship & Team Development

  • Coach and mentor product team members, sharing best practices and guiding them through complex challenges.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the product team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, sales, professional services, and customer experience teams to understand future capabilities and areas of improvement to deliver features that meet customer expectations.
  • Facilitate release planning, feature reviews, and ensure alignment across teams.

Release & Post-Release Activities

  • Support go-to-market strategies, including positioning, messaging, and enablement for sales and customer success teams.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze usage data, and iterate based on feedback.

Business Impact

  • Define and track success metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement, revenue impact, retention) for product features and releases.
  • Use data and analytics to inform prioritization and measure impact post-release.

Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscape.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related roles.
  • Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking.
  • Superior verbal and written communication, presentation and collaboration skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for problem solving and the impact of your work.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
  • Proven ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
